James Franco is a Graduate Student Like Me

So, apparently James Franco is attending the MFA program in creative writing at Columbia University.

That's awesome.

Why?

Because this leap from undergraduate to graduate (and believe me it is a very big leap) is completely unexpected from a celebrity. Think about it: a celebrity/movie star makes great money and can do anything he/she wants. But, to further education to better one's self in knowledge and seeing the world through the eyes of a writer instead of a reader or an actor is above-average.

Bravo, Mr. Franco.

And, may your studies at Columbia push you and push you and push you to become a better writer than you ever dreamed. I'm telling you, Mr. Franco, those workshops are going to be rough.
