Last Night, at church, Reverend Richardson taught about finding the Lord through the thorns. He gave the example of Moses on Mount Horeb seeing the thorn bush that was on fire but didn't burn. Moses turned aside to see this sight, but he neglected to see the angel of the Lord in the midst of the bush, the Christ (Exodus 3:1-6). The LORD stopped Moses from coming any closer saying that he needed to take off his shoes because the ground was holy with the LORD's possession. Moses didn't take his shoes off. Moses didn't see the LORD in the midst of the thorns.
Then, Rev. said that is how it is with situations in our life. We may be in the midst of a difficult situation, but that is just the thorns. The LORD wants us to look past the pain and see Him in the midst of it all. When we do that, the LORD wraps His loving arms around us to keep us and protect us from the torment of the Enemy. If we keep His Name lifted up (like thanking the Lord for His love, mercy, grace and the precious blood shed at Calvary), then we stay in the LORD's arms (Deuteronomy 33:27), and He will destroy our enemies.
