My Readers

I don't exactly know who reads this, and frankly, I don't really mind who reads this because what I have to say is my business because it's my blog. If you like it, awesome! (insert rock star symbol here) If not, no one is forcing you to read it.

So, my grandparents and uncle are coming today, and I really don't have time to do this, but since I found out that someone in my past likes to read my work, I'm going to do a little shout- out (oh, cliches! sorry about that.)

I got another note from a former friend explaining her side of the story of why things deteriorated, slipped through, I don't know what else, etc. I'm not going to wax cynical or sarcastic, but I am going to say this. Good for her.
If that makes her feel better now that she's let her side be known, then, I'm glad she did it; however, I just want her to know (if she reads this) that living her life now is the best thing for her to do. Don't worry about me. Don't lament the past. This ugly, old world is burgeoning under a great many things, and things are going to get worse before they are going to get better. I am focused on just 5 things right now. I don't want to dwell in the past; I've made so many mistakes and errors, I could become depressed with my should haves, could haves, and wish I dids.

Girl,
Please just forget about me. Live your life for Jesus, and only Him. You are going to go places -- you have the talent and ambition to do what you really want to do. I'm part of the past. Go to that really cool university. Make those great television shoes. Raise your family with your husband. I'm the past. Let us shake hands once more and wave goodbye as we take different paths.
Maybe one day, when we are both in Heaven in glorified resurrected bodies, we can minister together.

Thank you for the memories.
Thank you for your friendship.

Lauren
